POSITION OVERVIEW

The Machine Shop Manger will supervise and coordinate all activities of our machine shop, from strategic planning to daily operations with a focus on safety, quality, productivity, and optimization. You will lead a team of machinists and operators to execute a large and diverse scope of aerospace components for follow-on assembly within our manufacturing team. We are looking for someone with deep experience in machining, a constant desire to improve, and a sincere passion for leading a team.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of a multi axis CNC machine shop
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of machinists across multiple shifts
  • Coordinate workflow, job scheduling, machine scheduling, and ensure on-time delivery of aerospace components
  • Implement best practices to reduce cycle time, minimize setup, reduce scrap, improve quality and accelerate throughput
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100, NADCAP, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Direct the development of efficient programing, fixture designs, tool selection and commonization
  • Work closely with engineering, quality, scheduling, and production teams to meet delivery goals
  • Analyze KPIs, production metrics, capacity planning, and RCAs to drive performance and accountability
  • Manage, train, and evaluate staff performance, and take corrective action when necessary
  • As a member of the leadership team, collaborate cross-functionally to solve challenges and execute the company’s strategic vision
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards within the machine shop
