MACHINE SHOP SUPERVISOR

Location: Leeds
Salary: £17 - £20 p/hour
Hours: Monday – Thursday lates/nights
Elevation Recruitment are supporting a global metals manufacturing company who are currently seeking an experienced CNC Team Leader to support the day-to-day running of their Machine Shop during the late/night shift. Reporting to the Machine Shop Manager, you’ll play a key role in leading operations, supporting other operators, and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities of the Machine Shop Supervisor include:

• Set and operate CNC machines (Heidenhain & Fanuc) as required
• Prepare first-off setups and train operators using set-up sheets
• Support shop floor team and ensure smooth shift handovers
• Maintain housekeeping and complete shift reports
• Liaise with the Machine Shop Manager to meet departmental needs

We’re looking for Machine Shop Supervisors with the below skills & experience:

• Apprentice-trained or equivalent CNC experience preferred
• Previous experience in leading and supervising people
• Strong working knowledge of Heidenhain and Fanuc controls
• Experience working with steel castings would be beneficial
• Confident in problem solving and supporting team development
• Excellent time management, communication, and leadership skills
