BACKGROUND:
As a member of the Maintenance Group, you will work effectively with others in a team environment, apply problem-solving methodologies and demonstrate a continuous improvement orientation by seeking new
innovative methods of maintaining the equipment.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be part of the CTS Machine Shop team.
- Operate and program both manual and CNC machinery effectively.
- Utilize Mastercam software to create and modify CNC programs
- Demonstrate proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Provide excellent service and support to both internal and external customers.
- Address and prioritize organizational objectives efficiently.
- Manage resource allocation to meet production and operational demands.
- Coordinate and oversee scheduling, including vacation planning for team members.
- Adapt to evolving shop requirements and lead change management initiatives effectively.
- Drive team performance through strong performance management practices.
- Navigate and resolve difficult conversations with professionalism.
- Maintain a strong presence on the shop floor to oversee operations and support the team.
- Communicate clearly and effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Exhibit strong leadership skills to guide and motivate the team toward achieving goals.
429A CERTIFICATE OF QUALIFICATION IS REQUIRED.
- Minimum Secondary School Diploma or Ontario High School Equivalency Certificate is required.
- Advanced trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills an asset.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Candidates must be willing and able to work at heights.
- Capable of physically demanding work (both indoors and outdoors).
- Self-starter with the ability to follow directions and work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
- Advanced personal computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Skilled in planning and scheduling of maintenance work.
- Must have a Valid Ontario Driver’s license.
