Description Job Title: Portion Control Machine Technician Department: PC Machine Technicians Reports To: PC Machine Technician Supervisor FLSA Status: Hourly Non-Exempt 3rd Shift Hours: Sunday, 8:00pm-6:30am, Monday-Friday, 10:30pm-7:00am Overtime required based on production need. $20.50/hour Coordinates, operates and monitors packaging machinery within the facility. Performs preventative maintenance on packaging machinery, as necessary. Assists Operators with troubleshooting and startup, as necessary. Duties and responsibilities include: Other duties may be assigned. Operate and monitor food processing equipment and packaging machines, to ensure the efficient and safe production of company products. Set up and adjust machinery and equipment as needed for each production run, following established procedures and guidelines. Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance of machinery and equipment to identify and address any malfunctions or issues that may affect production. Follow strict hygiene and safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with food safety regulations. Troubleshoot and repair issues prior to and during production with packaging machinery. Ensure machines operate efficiently, safely, and according to specifications. Maintain records of maintenance and repairs. Collaborate with production staff to minimize downtime. Assist in startup and shutdown of equipment during shift changes. Performs changeovers, as needed, prior to scheduled production dates.
