Location Address: 2929 Venture Dr., Janesville, Wisconsin 53546 Work Shift: 8hr - 3rd Shift 11p-7:30a Janesville (M-F) (United States of America) As an advanced Machine Technician III, the Machine Technician III applies intensive and diversified knowledge in operating blow-mold, grinders, trimmer machines and conveyor systems. Role is responsible for troubleshooting process problems and performing minor maintenance to ensure continued operation of the production line. Machine Technician III is also responsible for following our company's Good Manufacturing Practices. In addition to Machine Operator and Machine Technician II responsibilities, the Machine Technician III role will include, but is not limited to the following: Demonstrates mastery of Machine Operator and Machine Technician II skills. Complete process adjustments – from mold change to start up. Demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot and repair basic mechanical problems. Understanding of sequence of cycle on machinery to help diagnose and pinpoint causes of issues. Can operate all lines in the plant. Able to make most processing adjustments without relying on the process team. Demonstrates ownership of operation by suggesting and making improvements as needed. Duties may differentiate by plant based on equipment and plant design. Receives instructions on specific job tasks by Lead Operator or Supervisor. Assistance is furnished on unusual problems and work is reviewed for application of sound professional judgment. Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs. EXPERIENCE: • Advanced mathematical skills are required. • Advanced computer experience. • Five plus years’ equivalent machine operator experience. EDUCATION: • Prefer High School diploma or general education degree (GED). TRAINING: • Completion of Altium Machine Technician Level III training. Responsibilities
This advanced role involves applying intensive knowledge to operate blow-mold, grinder, trimmer machines, and conveyor systems, while being responsible for troubleshooting process problems and performing minor maintenance to ensure continuous production line operation. The technician must also demonstrate mastery of lower-level skills, complete process adjustments from mold change to startup, and be capable of diagnosing and repairing basic mechanical issues without constant reliance on the process team.
