Description Mackin Educational Resources, a well-established, highly respected leader in the education industry, is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Bindery Machine Technician to join our team. This position will be responsible for the safe operation, troubleshooting, and regular maintenance of our Quick-Binder machine. Responsibilities Achieve full proficiency in the safe and efficient operation of Quick-Binder machinery, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to safety standards Continuously observe and monitor machine, troubleshoot and recognize incongruencies and/or issues and adjust machine settings and specifications accordingly Perform regular maintenance of assigned bindery machinery including preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostic work, and some reparation Check order documentation, verify accuracy, and communicate order information and additional instructions to team members to prepare for order production Assist with preventative maintenance of bindery equipment as needed which may include but is not limited to cutting, folding, scoring, stitching, and gluing machinery Requirements Strong mechanical aptitude with demonstrated ability to intuitively diagnose and resolve mechanical issues Proven ability to quickly identify and resolve problems within a team or independent setting Capability to perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced atmosphere Ability to bend and lift 25-35 pounds continuously, stand during entire shift, use fingers, hands and arms continuously in controlled movement Education & Experience High School Diploma or GED Previous experience operating production machinery in a manufacturing environment Previous experience and/or familiarity with preventative maintenance Hours Full-time - Days (7:00am - 3:30pm), Monday through Friday Weekends and Overtime as needed Wages $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
Responsibilities
The technician will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation, monitoring, and troubleshooting of the Quick-Binder machinery to ensure optimal performance. This role also includes performing regular maintenance, diagnostic work, and some reparation on assigned bindery equipment.
