QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in machinery repair and installation (metalworking/woodworking machines preferred)
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and manuals
• Experience with DRO installation is an asset — training will be provided
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to customer sites
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently seeking a Machine Tool Service Technician to join our team. This hands-on role involves the repair, maintenance, and installation of a wide range of metalworking and woodworking machinery, both new and used. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently on customer sites.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair manual and CNC metalworking machines, woodworking machines, and related equipment
• Perform mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs
• Install and commission new and used machinery at customer sites
• Install and calibrate Digital Readout (DRO) systems (training available if needed)
• Conduct routine maintenance and service work
• Communicate clearly with customers regarding work performed and machine status
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation
