Description
We are looking for a talented Machining Engineer - Senior - Weekend Night Shift (On-Site) to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Seymour, IN.  In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:  * Plan, design, and implement machining processes and equipment that improve manufacturing efficiency, reduce setup time, and support production goals. * Identify tooling, equipment, and process needs to enable smooth changeovers while meeting product specifications and quality standards. * Partner with engineering teams to identify product or performance issues and recommend practical solutions or enhancements to improve manufacturability. * Design, develop, and analyze technical products and manufacturing systems that support safe, reliable, and scalable operations. * Conduct equipment engineering design evaluations, document findings, and recommend design or process changes to improve quality, capability, and performance. * Drive improvements in equipment availability and throughput by applying continuous improvement tools and collaborating across functions. * Support operational excellence by standardizing processes and leveraging data to optimize equipment capability and utilization. * Coach and mentor less experienced team members, strengthening technical capability and supporting knowledge transfer within the organization.
