The QTI Group has partnered with a leading manufacturer in precision drive technology to recruit a Machining Team Lead for their second shift operation. This full-time, direct-hire position plays a key role in ensuring quality output, workflow efficiency, and team development within the machining department. The role involves hands-on production work, employee training, and communication across departments—all while supporting a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ years of machining experience, including both turning and milling
• Previous leadership experience or demonstrated progression of responsibilities
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Proficient with precision measuring tools and blueprint interpretation
• Comfortable with basic computer systems
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet for 10–12 hours

• Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce quality components using blueprints and work plans
• Train and support machinists in day-to-day operations
• Monitor work quality and help drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Provide performance feedback and help coach team members
• Communicate effectively with other departments to meet production goals
• Participate in company-wide quality, efficiency, and cost-saving initiatives
• Perform daily operator maintenance and other duties as needed
