Salary: £29,000 - £40,000 (dependent on qualifications & experience)
Hours: 9-day fortnight (enjoy two long weekends per month!)

A well-established and highly regarded engineering training provider in North Yorkshire is looking for a Machining Trainer to deliver practical training to apprentices. This is a fantastic opportunity to pass on your industry knowledge and play a key role in shaping the future of engineering.

✔️ Deliver hands-on training in machining techniques using lathes, milling machines, and CNC equipment
✔️ Support and assess apprentices working towards their Level 3 Machining Technician Apprenticeship
✔️ Provide guidance and mentorship to learners, helping them develop technical skills and industry knowledge
✔️ Work with a structured day-release training programme in a state-of-the-art training centre
✔️ Ensure apprentices meet industry standards and safety regulations
What We’re Looking For Strong practical experience in machining, CNC, or precision engineering
Training experience is an advantage—but full training can be provided for the right candidate
Excellent communication and mentoring skills to engage and support apprentices
A recognised engineering qualification (NVQ, BTEC, or equivalent)
Passion for developing the next generation of skilled engineers
