Machinist - 2nd Shift WeatherTech Direct is seeking a well-qualified Machinist who specializes in fabricating custom injection mold bases. Hourly rate starts at $25/hour or more based on skill set. As a Machinist, you will * Fabricate custom injection mold bases using Haas CNC machines * Use CNC machines, manual machines, and other hand and power tools to repair and update mold tools * Perform all assigned machine shop operations needed to make mold tools that meet precise specifications * Make adjustments to machines to control speed, material feed and path of the cut, as well as make sure machines are set up properly, working well, and producing quality products * Confirm machines are working at full capacity, are stocked with needed materials, and are well-maintained as well as perform periodic checks on output * Follow company safety rules and keep designated work area in a clean and orderly condition * Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications * 5+ years of experience operating CNC machines in a tooling/machine shop environment * High school diploma or equivalent * Apprenticeship or certification/associate’s degree or equivalent experience * Experience building custom injection mold bases * Experience using Haas CNC machines * Familiar with a variety of CNC machines, manual machines, and hand/power tools * Mechanically inclined and should understand basic math * Experience using CAM and NX CAM Software a plus * Proficient with Microsoft Office * Authorized to work in the United States Why you’ll love working at WeatherTech Direct WeatherTech Direct is proud to offer employees a competitive salary and benefits package, opportunities for internal promotions and skill development, clean and safe workspace.
