SUMMARY Karman Space & Defense is currently seeking a talented and experienced Machinist. You will set up, and operate 3, 4, & 5-axis, vertical and horizontal CNC milling and turning machines to perform diversified machining operations on work having close tolerance and finish specifications. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR * High school graduate or equivalent in work experience. * Mechanical aptitude, math skills * Able to follow verbal and written instructions * Strong understanding of turning and milling processes, including multi-axis machining techniques. * Knowledge of GD&T principles, blueprint reading, defense and aerospace materials. * Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. * Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment. * Multitasks, prioritizes, and meets deadlines in a timely manner. * Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS * Constant standing/walking/sitting for at least 10 hours.     * Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying up to 50 lbs, minimum 35 lbs.     * Prolonged periods of repetitive movement are required.    * Constant holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with the hand(s).   * Occasional extending of arms to reach overhead, at shoulder level and below shoulder level.  ITAR REQUIREMENTS To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, certain positions may require applicants to be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State. Responsibilities

The machinist will set up and operate 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC milling and turning machines to produce complex aerospace and defense components. They are also responsible for conducting quality checks, performing routine equipment maintenance, and collaborating with engineering teams to optimize machining processes.
