Description
Overview Apex is currently accepting applications for a Machinist within its Custom Contract Manufacturing Group. This is a full-time, permanent position reporting to the Machine Supervisor. As a Machinist at Apex, you will be responsible for setting up and operating various machine equipment, including CNC lathes, CNC mills, manual machines, and boring mills. We are looking for candidates with machining experience, and will work with the successful applicant to match them with equipment that best aligns with their skills and supports the needs of our team. Responsibilities Set up and operate machine equipment, including manual milling machines, CNC mills and lathes, and boring mills. Strong understanding of machine processes, materials, and tooling. Operate hand tools and precision measuring devices. Maintain production schedules. Recognize and communicate areas to improve. Maintain a safe and clean work environment. Comply with all company policies. Work well independently and in a team environment. Qualifications Education in machining (CNC, Manual, etc.) or similar work experience with manual and/or CNC machines. Knowledge of hand tools and precision measuring devices. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints. Knowledge of GD&T Ability to work both individually or within a team environment with a positive attitude. Ability to follow verbal or written instructions
