JOB DESCRIPTIONS

Under the supervision of the Maintenance Coordinator, the Machinist is responsible for creating, manufacturing, dismantling, reassembling, restoring, and installing maintenance parts, as well as performing preventive maintenance on equipment.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in machining technology
  • Be autonomous in conventional machining
  • Experience in the manufacturing field (an asset)

  • Ability to provide support and solutions to production
  • Ability to read and interpret modification and manufacturing drawings
  • Ability to operate various tools and machines (lathes, milling machines, surface, and cylindrical grinding machines)

Responsibilities
  • Participate in the design and manufacture of new maintenance parts (R&D)
  • Dismantle, reassemble and restore maintenance equipment parts
  • Perform mechanical preventive maintenance on machines
  • Follow safety measures imposed by OHS managers
  • Maintain quality standards in accordance with ISO requirements
