Join StandardAero as a Machinist and become part of a team dedicated to excellence in aerospace maintenance, repair and overhaul. Shift requirement: Day shift M-F. This position may require flexibility to work multiple shifts as needed to support business demands. No regular shift rotation and no overnights.   What you’ll do: * Operate manual and CNC to machine components to exact specifications. * Read and interpret blueprints, templates, and specification manuals to plan machining operations. * Calculate dimensions and tolerances, lay out workpieces, and verify accuracy using precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. * Troubleshoot and adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance. * Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and cross-train in complementary skills to support production requirements. * Follow all safety protocols and report any unsafe conditions or practices immediately. * Adhere to company policies, including proactive risk management and Just Culture principles.   What skills you’ll need: * Completion of at least Level 1 Machining from a recognized machinist apprenticeship program or equivalent education and training. * Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting technical specifications. * Practical experience in using precision measuring instruments and hand tools. * Strong mathematical and problem-solving abilities. * Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted. * Ability to stand for extended periods.   Preferred Qualifications: * Hands-on experience in manual machines such as mills, lathes, CNC etc. * Red Seal Machinist certification is preferred. * Familiarity with manufacturing processes, metallurgy, and production management systems.   Benefits that make life better: * Comprehensive Health and Dental Care * Company Pension with 100% match up to 5% vested * Paid Time Off starting on day one * Bonus opportunities based on performance * Short-term & Long-term Disability coverage * Life & AD&D Insurance  * Learning & Training opportunities   Raising the Standard of Excellence since 1911  With over a century of proven excellence, StandardAero has become an industry leader in MRO services and customized solutions in the aerospace field.
