About the Role The Machinist is responsible for setup and machining of parts as needed to support the purchasing, product development, manufacturing, and R&D groups, as well as ordering stock as needed. The Machinist will maintain a clean, orderly working environment. Reporting Line This positions reports to the Manufacturing Manager Your Role Set up, operate, and monitor manual and CNC machines (lathes, mills, grinders, etc.) to produce precision parts according to specifications. Manufacture and modify parts according to precise specifications Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine machining requirements. Select and install appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each job. Perform machine adjustments and tool offsets to ensure part accuracy and quality. Inspect finished products using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify conformance to tolerances. Maintain tight tolerances and surface finishes as required by engineering specifications. Troubleshoot machining issues and optimize processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste. Perform routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and safety checks. Document production runs, inspection results, and any deviations from specifications. Adhere to safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe and organized work environment. Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and team members to resolve technical challenges and meet production goals. Continuously improve skills and stay current with machining techniques, materials, and technologies. Qualifications (Required) 3 years of experience working with manual machine tools (mill, lathe, etc) for a broad range of materials Experience with CNC tools and software Proficiency with interpreting drawings and 3D models/renderings Proficiency with measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, etc) Understanding of safe operation of machine tools (manual mill, manual lathe, etc) Good communication skills Basic proficiency with G suite Good safety practices and awareness Qualifications (Bonus to Have) Education: High School Diploma, trade/technical certifications, or associate's degree in machining or related field. Experience leading/supervising a machine shop Served on a safety committee to drive safety initiatives Experience using Jira or Trello based ticketing systems Highly organized and process oriented Position Details The hourly base salary range for this full-time position is $40 - $45 + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and EUV Tech's location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the respective role. Within the range, individual pay is determined by the following factors: job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
