Located less than 50 minutes from Dubai International Airport, this integrated resort offering 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants and lounges, a theatre, nightclub, and five-star spa is currently under construction on a picturesque island that gracefully curves into the Arabian Gulf. About the Position: Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking a Machinist Fabricator Master - Logistics Centre to join the resort’s Logistics Centre team. The primary duties and responsibilities of this role are: * Operate and set up lathes, milling machines, shears, press brakes, band saws, grinders, and other workshop equipment to produce parts or assemblies to specification. * Read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD prints and CAFM work orders; set up tooling and fixtures; perform precision measuring and inspection. * Perform basic operator’s routine maintenance, equipment cleaning and basic troubleshooting on machines; report and coordinate repairs with maintenance/manufacturer’s technical staff. * Weld in different metals using diverse welding techniques (TIG/MIG/SMAW) * Maintain accurate production records including material usage, time logs, and quality checks. * Work collaboratively with metal workshop welders and other Facilities team members to understand timelines and requirements to meet requests timelines and quality standards. * Support junior welders and technicians by demonstrating safe machine operation and explaining fabrication processes when required. * Communicate clearly with internal teams about progress, lead times, and technical constraints and challenges. * Contribute to continuous improvement by suggesting process, tooling, or layout changes that increase efficiency or quality * Follow all safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. * Ensure compliance with workplace regulations, welding codes, and material handling standards. * Maintain a clean, organized workspace and participate in shop safety audits and toolbox talks. * Support sustainability efforts by minimizing scrap, segregating waste streams, and recommending material‑efficient practices. * Enforce safe working practices next to junior staff and lead by example About You: The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications: * Highschool diploma or equivalent preferred * Relevant metal workshop apprenticeship completion certificate from reputable vocational and industrial training institute * Welding certificate as per ISO9606-1 or EN1090 * Minimum 10 years of hands‑on experience in metal fabrication, machining, or a related trade. Experience in a production workshop preferred. * Proven proficiency operating lathes, milling machines, shears, press brakes, and welding equipment (MIG/TIG/Stick as applicable). * Strong blueprint reading skills and experience with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges). * Experience with materials such as mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum; familiarity with heat treatment and surface finishes is an added advantage. * Positive attitude with a “never say no” mindset and a passion for continuous improvement. * Fair spoken and written English. Additional languages are an added advantage.
