Description Our subsidiary GSPT (GEOKON Swiss Precision and Turning), is a small machine shop located in Brattleboro, VT with less than 25 employees. GSPT is a true team-oriented environment, and we are seeking a Machinist to join our team and help us to continue producing quality parts for our customers. As the Machinist you will work primarily on our Swiss Lathe machines, both Citizen and Star models. You will produce high precision parts for both internal and external customers and ensure effective production operation and optimize process and procedures. Requirements In this role you will also: Plan machining to the specifications of the job, drawings and material Interprets geometric dimensions and tolerances Loads programs into lathes according to prints Loads machine by lifting stock into position Verifies setting by measuring positions, first run part and adjusting accordingly Record daily production data Responsible for cleaning and maintenance of machines May operate more than one machine at a time Monitor product quality and adhere to standard operating procedures Contribute to continuous improvement Your Contributions High School Diploma -Required 1- 3 years of Swiss Lathe experience - strongly preferred Family with computer numerical control (CNC) Math skills for precise measurements and calculations Analytical and problem-solving skills What to expect with GEOKON: 100% Employee-Owned Company ---When the company does well, so do you, with Employee Stock Ownership. Responsibilities
