About the Opportunity: We’re looking for an experienced 1st and 2nd shift Machinist, who has completed a CNC Machining Program. You will have the opportunity to work with an inspiring team of experienced Machinists and Engineers Location: Newburyport, MA. This position is 100% onsite. Responsibilities * Set Up and operates CNC lathes and/or Milling machines and related equipment where programs, fixtures, and methods have been developed. * Work with our Engineers and Programmers to make all edits and adjustments as required to produce parts to work orders/blueprint specifications/sketches. * The ability to operate more than one machine in a cellular environment is required. * Demonstrates a working knowledge of feeds and speeds and a working knowledge of cutting tools and their application. * Inspects work for all dimensional features as required. * Produces quality and quantity of work in accordance with Company requirements. * Responsible for accurately completing paperwork relating to counts, scrap, time, etc. According to Company policy. * Performs duties always exercising good machining practices. * Maintains area, equipment, and tooling in a neat, safe, orderly condition including operator maintenance sheets. * Maintains coolant tanks and fills as necessary. * Trains, guides, and assists other employees as required. Qualifications: * High School Diploma or equivalency certified required. * 3-5 years or more of Machining background and/or experience in a machine shop. * Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis. * Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations. Preferred Qualifications: * Understanding of G and M Codes. * Able to understand and interpret blueprints and sketches. * Troubleshooting Skills. * Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Working Conditions: * Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment. * Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk. * Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds. Compensation: In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $27-32 per hour.
