JOB DESCRIPTION   Position: Machinist Location: Wilson, NC Job Type: On-site Reports to: Supervisor Department: North American Operations Position Purpose: To work from drawings electrical and mechanical using precision tools for maintenance support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance equipment reliability and performance. This role supports Leadec's mission to maintain and improve machinery capability in alignment with customers' goals.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities:   * Demonstrates the values and business principles of Leadec. * Works safely at all times. * Conduct all work activities in an exemplary safe manner. * Maintain workspace in a safe and orderly fashion, adhering to all 5S standards. * Participate in training to increase knowledge about customer affected equipment. * Ensure excellent Leadec customer-service level provided to customer. * Work from mechanical drawings, electrical schematics and ladder logic displays, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics. Ability to update as built drawings. * Adhering to and supporting all EHS and Quality objectives, in accordance with ISO 14001, 45001 and 9001 respectively. * All other duties as assigned by Leadec manager.   Competencies:   * Managing Tasks * Open Communication * Self-Management   Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:   * Communication Skills - Ability to communicate with all levels of Leadec and customer employees * Language Ability -- Talking to others to convey information effectively * Must have the ability to interact well with others * Experience in using and/or programming manual, semi-automated or automated tools and machines (lathes, grinders etc.) * Ability to use precision tools (e.g. calipers) to take accurate measurements * Knowledge of the properties of metal and other material * Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals * Good at math with analytical abilities   Position Qualifications:   * Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is preferred * High school diploma or equivalent * Vocational training and/or certification is an asset * 1-5 years of related experience * Skilled in industrial maintenance best practices * Problem resolution experience.   Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the key actions of the job:   * Required to talk and/or hear in an industrial setting (noise level is moderate). Frequently required to stand and walk on concrete surfaces for 4 -12 hours. Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; lift; stoop, or crouch. * Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception and focus adjustment. * Work is performed in an industrial-manufacturing environment with occasional time spent working on a computer or at a desk.
