Our Machinists play a vital role in our operations, operating CNC milling, turning, and grinding machine centers, as well as manual machinery. The primary responsibility is to perform routine or repetitive operations with precision, consistently meeting customer specifications, quality requirements, and production standards.

DESCRIPTION:

• Signing Bonus: We offer a signing bonus of up to $6,000, dependent on the shift.
• Shifts:1st Shift: 5:00 am to 3:30 pm (Monday-Thursday) OR 7:00 am to 3:30 pm (Monday-Friday)
  2nd Shift: 3:25 pm to 1:55 am (Monday-Thursday) OR 3:25 pm to 11:55 pm (Monday-Friday) with a $1.50/hour Shift Premium

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to set up CNC lathes and mills.
• Proficiency in setting up Manual Lathes, Grinders, and Mills for Manual Machining operations.
• Understanding and interpretation of programs using Mastercam software.
• Assistance with fabricating new components per Engineering drawings.
• Verification of work using various measurement methods.
• Assistance with modifying components per drawings or engineering’s instruction.
• Adherence to due dates provided using the scheduling system.
• Maintenance of shop cleanliness.
• Safe operation of equipment.
• Communication with other shifts.
• Ability to work from verbal and/or written instructions or sketches.
• Reporting of job progress using the current scheduling system.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to use a CAD system when needed to verify drawings.
• Mentoring of new Machinists.
• Willingness to work overtime as requested.
• Flexibility to take on other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong math skills, including trigonometry and geometry.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Working knowledge of GD&T.
• Excellent interaction skills.
• Capacity to work with minimal supervision.
• Basic computer skills.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques.
• Basic understanding and knowledge of Machine Shop equipment, machining, and measuring processes.
• Two-year Machine Tool diploma or degree or equivalent experience (preferred).

EXPERIENCE WITH THE FOLLOWING TYPE OF EQUIPMENT WOULD BE A PLUS:

• Twin spindle twin turret, Y axis, live tooling (Fanuc control, Daewoo, TT1800 lathe).
• Single spindle, Y axis, live tooling (Fanuc control, Daewoo, Puma 2000Y lathe).
• Single spindle, Y axis, live tooling (Mazak Lathe).
• Mazak Vertical Mill.
• Mazak Horizontal Mill.
• Haas Vertical Mill.
• Bridgeport and Hardinge for Manual Machining operations.
• Swiss Turning.
• Cylindrical Grinding.
