Job Description:**
We are looking for a skilled Conventional Machinist to operate and maintain precision machines such as Milling, Lathe, and Grinders. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of machining practices, the ability to read technical drawings, and experience working to tight tolerances in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate manual lathe, milling, and surface grinding machines to produce precision metal components (e.g., knives, blades).
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine machining requirements.
  • Measure, mark, and inspect materials to ensure accuracy and conformance to specifications.
  • Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for various machining operations.
  • Perform roughing, finishing, threading, boring, facing, drilling, and tapping operations.
  • Ensure proper alignment and secure clamping of workpieces using vises, fixtures, and clamps.
  • Maintain machines and tooling by performing regular cleaning, lubrication, and minor maintenance.
  • Check completed parts using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment while adhering to all safety procedures and standards.

Requirements:

  • Over 6 years of experience as a machinist.
  • Proficiency with both manual and CNC machines (Fanuc or similar controls preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T and machining principles.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
