Responsibilities

As a machinist, you have a key role in the creation of equipment related to manufacturing medical isotopes. You’ll have a wide range of tasks that involve operating machine tools to create precision parts from metal or other materials.Perform diverse machinist tasks, applying procedures and independent judgment to meet specific work requirements.

  • Calculate dimensions, lay out work, and set up machine tools using applied mathematics.
  • Leverage expertise in machining various metals, including stainless steel, aluminum, copper, and steel.
  • Operate CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam and utilize precision tools like micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.
  • Write and interpret “G” code for machining operations.
  • Maintaining tools and machines; troubleshooting machining process.
  • Ensure quality and safety of equipment and processes
