OVERVIEW

We are seeking skilled Machinist for our client located in Oakville, 403 and Forth Line area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating various machining tools and equipment such as lathes and milling machines with a focus on precision and quality. As a Machinist, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process.This position requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Good knowledge using power tools and manual machining techniques.
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Industrial Machinist Trade Certificate (430A or 429A) is an asset
• 5 years experience operating manual lathes and milling machines
• Excellent communication skills (fluent in English)
• Ability to read AutoCAD and Inventor prints
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to collaborate effectively
• Organizational skills to manage workload under project deadlines
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Valid driver’s license required

• Setting up and operating machine tools such as manual engine lathes and milling machines
• Machining steel workpieces in accordance with drawings
• Conduct regular maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
