Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities: · Perform Machine Shop department related duties as assigned by team leader / supervisor. · Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures. · Assume accountability for time management and job tracking. · Develop and maintain an open mind to learn new techniques and processes from experienced operators. · Troubleshoot issues to ensure the machines maintain a high level of utilization. · Organize and combine jobs to maximize machine utilization rates and improve efficiency. · Learn and master machine controls to overcome daily obstacles and ensure continuous production flow. · Mentor and teach junior operators to grow and learn new techniques and procedures. Requirements Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: · Excellent verbal and written communication skills. · Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service. · Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices. · Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings. · Computer familiarization / proficiency for time / data entry. · High school diploma or GED required. · Trade School / Vocational Training degree or certification preferred. · Minimum of 3 years of experience operating CNC machinery. · Experience with Marvel saws and CNC machinery a plus. · Forklift operator certification. Physical Requirements: · Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. · Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards · Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. · Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly. Bilingual candidates a definite plus.

Responsibilities

The Machinist Operator is responsible for performing machine shop duties, maintaining compliance with company policies, and troubleshooting machine issues to ensure high utilization. Additionally, they will mentor junior operators and develop skills in machine controls to ensure continuous production flow.
