Description
SAIC is seeking a Machinist to operate CNC and manual vertical mills and manual lathes in a prototype fabrication type setting, along with various other duties. The work will be supporting multiple DoD customers in areas such as small arms, munitions, countermeasures, and vehicle integration projects. This position is 100% on-site at our Bedford, IN location.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• HS Diploma or equivalent and 2+ years’ experience.
• Previous experience as a machinist.
• Must be able to obtain DoD Secret clearance.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

• Experience with CAD/CAM, in both 2D and 3D applications.
• Experience with HAAS CNC Mills and Lathes.

• Program, set up and operate CNC machinery.
• Perform various mechanical assembly duties, and fabricate from engineering drawings.
• Work on assignments that are semi-routine in nature, where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required.
