Description

This position is an exciting opportunity for an experienced CNC Machinist to join a rapidly expanding and innovative machining company.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Trade qualified
  • RED Seal Certified
  • 5+ years of experience with the CNC Mills & Lathes preferred
  • 3+ years of experience with Fanuc controls considered an asset
  • Custom and precision parts experience
  • Experience editing g-codes
  • Valid NORCAT, Working at Heights, WHMIS, an asset
  • Have, and maintain a positive attitude and a strong desire to work

A successful candidate will be responsible for the following all the while maintaining the highest safety standard possible:

  • Setup and operate CNC Mills & Lathes,
  • troubleshooting the CNC Mill & Lathe,
  • machining parts and ensuring conformance to specifications,
  • quality checks on product to ensure dimensions are accurate,
  • other duties as assigned
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings and prints
  • Play a role in the training and development of apprentices
  • Potential for short term on site work outside of the shop
