Job Title: Machinist Technician Location: In-Kingdom Department: Maintenance Department Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor / Workshop Supervisor Job Summary: A Machinist Technician is responsible for operating machine tools to fabricate, repair, or modify mechanical parts and components according to specifications. The role involves reading technical drawings, setting up machines, and ensuring precision and quality in all machining operations. Key Responsibilities: Operate lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other workshop equipment. Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. Fabricate, modify, and repair mechanical components and parts. Measure and inspect finished products to ensure accuracy and quality. Perform routine maintenance and calibration on machining tools and equipment. Maintain records of work completed and materials used. Follow workshop safety procedures and ensure proper use of PPE. Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to support equipment repairs. Qualifications / Skills: Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical or Machining Technology. Proven experience as a Machinist or Machinist Technician. Strong knowledge of machining tools, materials, and processes. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Precision measurement and quality inspection skills. Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Knowledge of safety practices in workshop environments. Working Conditions: Work is primarily performed in workshops or maintenance areas. Exposure to noise, machinery, oil, and metal particles. Requires wearing protective equipment at all times. May involve standing for long periods and handling heavy materials.
