Be part of something bigger—build your future with us! This position works closely with Engineering to produce tooling that is utilized within our manufacturing facility. The position is directly responsible for fabricating, maintaining, and troubleshooting production tooling and machinery. This requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, problem solving abilities and a solid understanding of mechanics and shop math. Requirements 1. Journeyman certificate in machining/tool and die and 10 years experience in a machinist position. 2. Owns machinist tools (caliper, micrometer, test indicator, etc.) and knows how to use them. 3. Runs all machines in tool & die shop (mill, lathe, grinder, bandsaw, etc.). 4. CNC machining/maintenance experience and computer skills preferred. 5. Understands engineering drawings. 6. Be able to make a new part using a broken one as a template. 7. Has a good understanding of die workings. 8. Operates forklift and other lifting equipment safely. 9. Hand welding (MIG/TIG/Stick) and brazing experience is desirable. 10. Ability to use heat treat furnace is a plus. 11. Experience with air, electrical, and hydraulic systems is desirable. Responsibilities
The machinist is responsible for fabricating, maintaining, and troubleshooting production tooling and machinery. They work closely with the engineering department to produce necessary tooling for the manufacturing facility.
