Apprentice Machinist 1 position available (33-week term, May 11th - December 31st, 2026) the Richmond location   StandardAero Limited is a state-of-the-art helicopter maintenance, repair and overhaul provider for Engines, Dynamic Components, Structures and Avionics.   We have an immediate opening for an eight-month term Apprentice Machinist in the Machine Shop for the Richmond Location.  This position will be based out of the Richmond facility, British Columbia and will report to the Manager, Repair Services - Richmond.   Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: * Machining tooling, fixtures, and jigs to tight tolerances using manual/CNC lathes, mills, and cylindrical grinder  * Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance  * Verify dimensions of machined tools and parts using precision measuring instruments  * Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports * Miscellaneous projects on an as-needed basis APPLICABLE COMPETENCIES, APTITUDES AND QUALIFICATIONS: * Completion of high school, completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training  * Enrolled in Machining Co-Op program * CNC or cylindrical grinder experience would be an asset  * Ability to read & understand complex technical instructions and drawings, blueprints, charts and tables * Ability to work with minimal supervision  * A high level of efficiency; the ability to adhere to specific quality standards while meeting production deadlines  * Willing to work overtime as required, including short notice  * Ability to work in the fast-paced environment, repetitive tasks and standing for extended periods * Strong communication skills  Raising the Standard of Excellence since 1911 With over a century of proven excellence, StandardAero has become an industry leader in MRO services and customized solutions in the aerospace field.
