POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a dedicated Machinist / Yard Sales Assistant to join our team in Nottingham, NG14 5JX. The Machinist / Yard Sales Assistant’s primary purpose is to undertake the branch’s specialist machining jobs, ensuring a high level of product finish is achieved, and take responsibility for the upkeep of the Mill and machinery therein to ensure it is safe, fully functional and operating efficiently.

YOUR SKILLS:

Basic literate and numerate ability
Wood machining experience
Timber knowledge

Executing the branch’s machining tasks and in particular the more specialist types, always ensuring a high level of finished product is achieved, and to deadline, working from dimension-based drawings and written descriptions
Taking responsibility for the overall housekeeping in the Mill
Ensuring all machines and components are kept in good order through regular maintenance and cleaning
Overseeing other machine users and ensure best practice is adhered to by all
