The post holder is required to lead and manage several projects working on their own initiative and manage their own workload; this will require excellent project management and organisational skills. The post holder must be able to effectively communicate and present information to a wide range of groups, including senior managers, medical staff, public and patient groups, and external stakeholders, working in a matrix management environment who have conflicting or mixed interests The postholder must be able to communicate on complex and sensitive issues and deliver appropriate information, including health inequality data and barriers perceived by this section of the population The post holder must be able to foster excellent working relationships with key stakeholders, external and internal to the ICB and partner community organisations. Working closely with internal and external partners to deliver the project and ensure timely achievement of key milestones The post holder must be able to design a qualitative and quantitative performance monitoring framework and method of collating performance information that can be used to report the progress of the projects to stakeholders The postholder must be able to analyse and interpret complex data to inform and direct the planning and monitoring of the projects in accordance with the overall aims and objects of the business case The post holder must use the complex data to make strategic changes to the overall project plan, ensuring that stakeholders are informed and given rationale The post holder must be able to deal with personnel issues in a sensitive and confidential manner and should be able to signpost members of the public to the appropriate service The post holder must be able to lead the Community Connectors in the planning and delivery of a range of events which impacts across the ICS. for example focus groups, discussion workshops and surveys, that will need to take place across Sandwell and its borders Lead on the implementation of the Community Connectors Project, which involve policy and service development across the ICB, Primary Care and Macmillan UK The postholder will oversee and monitor budget resources Regularly reviewing the financial information and accounts to ensure that they are consistent with the funding requirements in line with the programme allocation Provide day-to-day operational support to ensure the delivery of effective project management and administrative support to facilitate the overall cohesiveness and integrity of the Black Country Community Connectors Project that involves four interconnected community organisations that are complementary to one another Provide day-to-day leadership, support, and management for four Cancer Connectors Design a performance monitoring framework and method of collating and reporting qualitative and quantitative performance information and use this to report the progress of the project to stakeholders Lead the delivery of a communication plan to raise awareness of, promote and share information about the work of the project Chair and administer project steering group meetings, as required Develop project delivery plans and adjust them to accommodate the project as it evolves Lead the facilitation and co-ordination of activities with the four Community Connectors to produce a shared workplan, and be responsible for updating, monitoring and evaluation of actions and achievements.
Monitor and report the progress of the project to ensure compliance with its objectives and outputs, using project management tools, e.g. Highlight Report and Risk/Issue Log Identify and maximise opportunities for collaboration and partnership work with organisations working in targeted areas and communities in Sandwell and the wider Black Country communities, building effective partnerships with relevant statutory, voluntary and community organisations The post-holder will be required to adopt a flexible and adaptive leadership approach within a complex and ever-changing environment. The post-holder will also be required to exercise high levels of diplomacy and be particularly astute in identifying challenges and working with partners to broker effective solutions The post holder will report to the ICB cancer portfolio, using the required reporting mechanisms and will attend any appropriate meetings, to update or present progress as required, escalating any risks/issues to the Programme Portfolio as appropriate Deliver against objectives, achieving quality outcomes, working to tight deadlines Willingness to undertake training and development relevant to the role, including that offered by Macmillan Cancer Support Contribute and lead on ensuring there are processes in place to share learning and outcome Establish and follow financial processes to ensure payments from Macmillan Cancer Support for the project are managed and monitored The post holder will need to travel as part of this role, including but not restricted to community centres, places of worship and meeting locations, across the Sandwell boroug
