MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2–4 years of experience in project coordination, community engagement/organizing, or team leadership, preferably in a nonprofit or community development setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, project management, community development, public administration, or a related field—or equivalent experience, preferred.
  • Demonstrated understanding of asset-based approaches to community work.
  • Strong organizational, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working collaboratively with community members and diverse stakeholders.
  • Budgeting, data tracking, and project evaluation experience.
  • Familiarity with Madison County geography, communities, and local dynamics is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the local representative of AAHH in Madison County, building trust and fostering relationships with residents, community organizations, and other key stakeholders
  • Serve as staff liaison to the AAHH Board’s Madison County Advisory Committee
  • Identify and support opportunities for new home construction, including the cultivation of land acquisition leads
  • Coordinate and lead a cross-functional internal Madison County project team, ensuring alignment and shared accountability for Madison County goals.
  • Monitor and track progress on Madison County goals related to new home construction, traditional home repair, and disaster repair, ensuring they reflect both organizational priorities and community needs.
  • Support post-disaster outreach and coordination for home repair and rebuilding, in partnership with the Madison Alliance for Rebuilding Communities (MARC) and other disaster recovery entities.
  • Develop and manage Madison County-specific budgets, timelines, and risk assessments in coordination with internal departments.
  • Use community and staff feedback to evaluate project efforts and propose improvements that strengthen future work.
  • Maintain regular communication between community stakeholders, internal teams, and AAHH leadership about opportunities, challenges, and impact.
