THE ROLE:

CTC Legal Media is recruiting for a Magazine Editor to work on its leading business-to-business intellectual property (legal) titles.
CTC Legal Media specialises in publications, websites, directories and handbooks for the legal market. With over 20 years’ experience in legal publishing we use industry experts to deliver the latest news and views in these markets and aim to provide a specialist service for international law firms and legal companies.
As Editor, you will commission articles from industry experts across the world as well as write features, conduct interviews and write news for the magazines, as well as our weekly e newsletters.
Based in offices in Ashford, Kent, the role would ideally suit someone looking to progress in their current role at a dynamic and fast growing organisation.

KEY DAY-TO-DAY TASKS INCLUDE:

• Commissioning, writing, interviewing and editing news and features for the magazines
• Developing contacts within the IP Industry and liaising with them regularly by phone and in person
• Developing an interest in and knowledge of the topics covered in the publications
• Sub-editing, headline writing and delivering copy to a high standard and to a house style
• Representing the titles at international industry events at at our own IP event
• Some international travel will be required
  All applicants must have ‘A’ level or higher qualifications in English language or a similar relevant qualification
