Job Details: Work Schedule: 2nd Shift Monday- Friday: 3pm- 11pm level: MG03 Based Pay $19.25/hour, plus $1.00 shift premium. Tasks: This position will be responsible for multiple tasks relating to preventive maintenance and repair on all feed mill equipment. This position will provide relief functions for the dispatching, batching, and/or ingredients/receiving positions. This position requires frequent standing on hard surfaces, bending, stooping, walking, climbing ladders in excess of 100 ft., and lifting up to 100 lbs. This position holder must be willing to assist in spare parts inventory control and procurement. All Tyson Foods policies must be followed to include Tyson’s Preventive Maintenance Program, Animal Welfare and Bio-Security guidelines. Complete all other tasks assigned. Work Environment – Inclement conditions to include working indoors in a hot non-toxic airborne dusty environment and exposure to outside weather conditions. Requirements: 1. Flexible scheduling required. 2. Must possess 3 years of industrial maintenance or related work experience to include basic electrical troubleshooting and repair, mechanical/power transmission equipment installation, troubleshooting and repair. 3. Must possess at least a journeyman welding, burning, metal repair and/or fabrication skills. 4. Must possess intermediate computer skills. 5. Must communicate clearly with management, Team Members, and vendors both orally, verbally and in writing to ensure compliance. 6. Must be willing to maintain full knowledge of and comply with all Tyson and/or other agency safety, electrical, hot works, environmental, lock-out/tag out, forklift operation, railcar mover operation, boiler operation, and all other policies and/or procedures. 6 months operator experience with one employer in the previous 12 months. Applicant must reside in a 30-mile radius of the facility. Maintenance Generalist candidates must have the minimum years of industrial maintenance experience to match maintenance level in posting. One (1) year of training can be equivalent to graduation from a Maintenance Training Program. Experience/Training must be documented on application or resume.
