DESCRIPTION:

Works directly with MRMD and Senior MRSO to implement and maintain MRI Safety Officer Program. Documenting, and introducing safe working procedures for the MR environment. Provide department MRI Safety orientation, training and initial assessment for new hires and re-hires. Ensures that adequate written safety procedures, work instructions, emergency procedures, and operating instructions are issued to all concerned. Active role in MRSO Program Committee, MRI QAC Committee and MRI Clinical Specialist Committee. On an annual basis, will provide MRSO portfolio to MRSO Committee. See Attached. Refer to MRSO portfolio. Estimated pay range for this position is $40.71 - $52.92 / hour depending on experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Degrees:

  • High School,Cert,GED,Trn,Exper.

Licenses & Certifications:

  • ABMRS Magnetic Resonance Safety Officer.
  • CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) Certification.
  • Basic Life Support.
  • ARRT Registered Technologist - Magnetic Resonance Imaging.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an approved AMA Council of Education program in Radiologic Technology.
  • ARRT Magnetic Resonance Imaging - ARRT (R) (MR).
  • MRSO Certification.
