Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Mail Inserter Maintenance Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing mail inserting machines and related equipment to ensure smooth, efficient operations. Your expertise will help keep our mailing processes running seamlessly, supporting timely delivery and operational excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical skills in a fast-paced environment dedicated to precision and quality. Schedule: Monday-Friday 2:30pm - 11:00pm Key Responsibilities Primary person responsible for scheduling and performing repair work on Bell & Howell, Pitney Bowes, Rival, and MPS machines, MBO folders, inserting equipment, and all equipment associated within the mailing operation (such as strapping machines, stream feeders, Pitney Bowes meter bases, guillotine cutter machines) Responsible for inventory and ordering when manager is not on site for commonly used service parts Provide backup support as a Mail Operator as requested by management, as needed when workload is excessive or are shorthanded on Operators during peak production periods Provide support by managing parts inventory and customer service calls Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on the Bell & Howell systems, Pitney Bowes, Rival and MPS machines to keep them functioning in optimal condition Schedule and perform regular predictive/preventative maintenance inspections on equipment on other Third-Party equipment Flexibility to support other areas of mailing Department (UV coating, Bindery Departments Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: 3 years’ experience running or repairing mailing equipment 3 years’ experience working in a transactional mail environment Knowledge of Bell and Howell and Pitney Bowes machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance Ability to perform mechanical adjustments/repairs on mailing equipment Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Ability to process, comprehend and follow detailed instructions Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Outstanding attention to detail and ability to inspect work on problem areas Ability to stand for extended periods of time and to frequently lift and move heavy materials (about 40-45 pounds) Must be flexible with hours including working various shifts, overtime, and some Saturday work may be required Must be highly organized and efficient Ability to take initiative, be self-motivated and work independently Benefits & Work Environment Medical, dental, vision, and supplemental insurance Paid Time Off (PTO), sick time, and paid holidays Quarterly bonus opportunities 401k with employer match Monday through Friday schedule Casual business attire—jeans are welcome Supportive, people-focused culture with growth opportunities
