Mailroom Assosciate Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour Onsite/Lexington, KY Work Hours: Monday - Friday 7:00am-clean desk Additional overtime as needed Some Saturdays Mandatory Paid Training: 8 weeks Job Summary: The Mailroom Associate is responsible for handling, sorting, and preparing incoming and outgoing mail and packages. This role ensures timely and accurate delivery of correspondence within the organization and to external recipients. Key Responsibilities Sort and collate incoming and outgoing mail by department, category, or destination Weigh mail and apply correct postage using postage meter machines Prepare envelopes and packages for dispatch, including labeling and sealing Record and track registered, certified, and express mail Operate mailroom equipment such as scanners, fax machines, and sorting machines Stamp and date incoming mail and log delivery details Handle misdirected mail and arrange for reforwarding Maintain inventory of mailing supplies (e.g., stamps, envelopes, labels) Assist with bulk mailings and special delivery requests Ensure compliance with postal regulations and company policies Skills & Qualifications Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to lift and move packages (up to 30lbs) Familiarity with mailroom equipment and software Good communication and literacy skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines High school diploma or equivalent preferred Prior experience in a mailroom or clerical role is a plus Able to pass background check Work Environment Fast-paced office or corporate setting Physical activity including standing, bending, and lifting May involve interaction with delivery personnel and internal staff What We Offer: Full-time employment with competitive hourly pay Health, Dental, and Vision benefits starting on your first day Paid Time Off (PTO), paid holidays A supportive and inclusive work environment Pay is $15.00/hour which may be below your state's minimum wage. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive. The estimated salary range for this role is $26,600-$33,250.
