Mav·er·ick: Someone who plays by their own rules. /'mav(?)rik/ (noun) Provides cashier services, including change and chips, cashing checks, banks, keys, preparing fills and jackpots, adding money to the cage inventory, preparing deposits, counting and bundling cash, wrapping change, and balancing the bank. Is responsible for inventory of Main Bank assets at open and close of shift Performs pit fills/credits, kiosk fills, Food and Beverage transactions and Slot Attendant transactions. Maintains custody of funds, records of those funds, and prepares reports and records of transactions for assigned banks. Receives, secures, handles, counts and reconciles, and distributes large sums of money accurately and promptly. Completes required casino forms and follows policies and procedures, I.C.M.P.’s and Gaming regulations. Remains up to date on Gaming Laws and I.C.M.P. Follows all company and department policies and procedures. Provides exemplary customer service to our guest and employees. Create and print Players cards accounts. Checks guest for proper identification. Wears and maintains all uniforms properly. All Employees maintain a clean and safe work environment and complies with safety procedures, including use of required safety equipment, identifying unsafe practices or conditions, and informing their Manager, CSM or the Safety Committee of the unsafe conditions. All Employees follow security policies and procedures and reports all violations. Performs duties in compliance with the Colorado Limited Gaming Act. Use multiple systems for player tracking at one time. Ability and willingness to work at both the Central City and Black Hawk Properties. May perform duties in any functional area of the Cage operations department, including but not limited to Cage banks. Other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Requirements Must be at least 21 years of age and able to obtain and maintain a Colorado Support Gaming license: https://sbg.colorado.gov/gaming-support-license 1-2 years prior cash handling or cashier experience preferred. 1-2 years prior guest service experience preferred. Possess great customer service, written and verbal communication skills. Basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Ability to work and communicate effectively with team members at all levels. Must be able to stand for duration of shift. Must be able to bend, stoop and continuously use hands. Ability to push and pull up to 25lbs pounds and occasionally up to 45lbs. Ability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays when needed. Demonstrate knowledge of casino operations, and gaming rules and regulations. Demonstrate experience receiving, securing, handling, counting, reconciling, and distributing large sums of money accurately. Demonstrate ability to operate required equipment.
