Aberdeen & Northern Marts are looking for a personable, well organised Main Office Administrator to join our busy team at Thainstone.
WHO WE ARE
ANM Group is one of Scotland’s leading co-operatives based at Thainstone Centre, Inverurie and plays a major part in Scotland’s economy. An agri-hub for the North East of Scotland, it is one of the most modern and busiest auction centres in Europe, extending to 400 acres and hosting weekly auctions of livestock, vehicles, and machinery.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate should have:
· Good arithmetic skills and the ability to handle transactions quickly and accurately.
· Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
· A working knowledge of all MS packages, particularly Word and Excel.
· An ability to work on their own initiative yet also be a team player.
· A flexible attitude to work.
· A knowledge of the agricultural industry, though this is not essential.

This role offers a variety of duties working alongside our Auctioneering and Thainstone Online teams. As part of the Main Office team the tasks would involve providing comprehensive administrative assistance to the sales and auction teams, online bidding support and cashiering, as well as dealing with customer queries, particularly on busy sale days. The start and finish times on sale days will be dictated by sale type, the time of year as well as the general needs of the business. This is a full-time role where a flexible attitude to work is required.
