Responsibilities
  • Maintain the MQSeries subsystem procs and JCL
  • Backup of MQSeries system components
  • Basic change management functions: ticketing, opening and closing changes, etc.
  • Performing Data Security audits (collecting evidence of compliance, correcting noncompliances fount in an audit)
  • Creation/installation of new MQSeries subsystems and related sub products
  • Upgrades of existing MQSeries subsystems and related sub products
  • Define and configure MQ Pageset, point the storage class to the Pageset, Turn over storage class name to the Account MQ Admin, allocate channels, define buffer pools, control security rules for processes
  • Application of preventative/corrective maintenance PTF’s and HIPER PTF’s on test and production system software libraries
  • Enforcement of MQSeries security and audit conformance
  • Installation of Network connectivity on Mainframe side
  • Set up for Disaster recovery of pagesets, logs, bootstrap datasets and related MQSeries and sub product system software components
  • Perform Disaster Recovery drill exercises
  • Support of MQSeries Distributed Queue Management
