POSITION DESCRIPTION:

We are Canada’s largest independent information technology services firm, and after 45 years, we’re still growing! Join us as a “Senior Mainframe Developer” in our banking team.
Location - Scarborough
The Mainframe Developer will develop new applications or modify existing applications and provide day-to-day support. The developer will work with the business and QA Teams to ensure that the requirements are implemented as per the expectations.

YOUR FUTURE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Creating, designing, coding, debugging, testing, and implementing applications using COBOL, JCL, and DB2.
• Understanding the logic and structure of existing applications to identify areas for improvement or to create new ones.
• Investigating and resolving issues related to application functionality and performance.
• Adhering to established coding standards, documentation procedures, and system maintenance practices.
• Developing necessary documentation and plans for application deployment and updates.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:

• 5 years of working experience as a Developer using COBOL, JCL and DB2.
• Experience working in an agile environment and SDLC methodology.

Nice to Have:

• Banking experience with Lending applications.
