JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mainframe DevOps Engineer to lead the modernization and automation of our mainframe development environment. This role focuses on designing and implementing DevOps solutions for CA Endevor to DevOps migration, using OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) on AWS, Azure, or IBM Private Cloud. The desired candidate will demonstrate proficiency in Mainframe environments, CA Endevor, and modern DevOps tools. is a great opportunity to drive innovation, streamline development pipelines, and enhance deployment automation in a complex, high-performance ecosystem.

• Proven experience as a Technical Architect or DevOps Engineer in Mainframe and DevOps environments.
• Hands-on experience with containerized environments using Docker, Kubernetes, and OCP.
• Strong background in automating build and deployment processes using Groovy scripting.
• Demonstrated success in leading Endevor-to-DevOps migration projects.
• Strong ability to effectively engage with technical teams and business collaborators.

• Design & Implement DevOps Solutions: Develop and implement strategies for CA Endevor to DevOps migration, integrating OpenShift and cloud platforms.
• CI/CD & Automation: Architect and optimize CI/CD pipelines using UrbanCode Deploy (UCD), Dependency Based Build (DBB), Jenkins, Git, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, and Groovy scripting.
• Mainframe & Endevor Expertise: Provide in-depth technical knowledge in CA Endevor and Mainframe development environments, ensuring seamless modernization.
• Migration Leadership: Lead and implement Endevor-to-DevOps migration projects, identifying challenges and implementing scalable, automated solutions.
• Build & Deployment Automation: Develop and maintain build scripts using Groovy to streamline application packaging and deployment.
• Collaborator Communication: Translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical collaborators.
• Problem-Solving & Scalability: Analyze system architectures, solve issues, and design robust, high-performing DevOps solutions.
