Are you ready to be the guardian of our data kingdom, ensuring that the heartbeat of our systems—the IMS databases—are not just secure but thriving? We are on the lookout for a skilled and dedicated Mainframe IMS Database Administrator to join our dynamic team.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Proficiency in managing Hierarchical Indexed Direct Access Databases (HALDB) within the IMS environment.
• Knowledge of IMS database operations, including database creation, modification, and optimization.
• Strong expertise in Job Control Language (JCL) for efficient batch processing.
• Familiarity with z/OS system-level administration and maintenance tasks.
• Experience with the REXX programming language for automation and scripting tasks.

• Maintaining IMS Objects using Utilities: Execute IMS utilities to perform routine maintenance tasks on IMS objects, ensuring data integrity and availability.
• Maintaining access to IMS PSB’s: Manage access controls and permissions for IMS Program Specification Blocks (PSB’s) to maintain security and data confidentiality.
• Refreshing IMS databases: Perform database refresh activities, ensuring data consistency and accuracy in development, testing, and production environments.
• Recovery of IMS Objects: Develop and execute recovery plans for IMS objects in the event of data loss or system failures, minimizing downtime and data loss.
