Responsibilities

THE ROLE

We’re seeking experienced Mainframe Natural Programmers to support and enhance legacy applications developed using Natural and ADABAS on IBM z/OS systems. These Sydney-based roles are part of a long-term uplift program for a national regulatory platform.
You’ll work within a collaborative team to maintain system functionality, implement enhancements, and ensure the stability and performance of mission-critical applications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance Natural/ADABAS applications on IBM z/OS.
  • Analyse business requirements and implement functional software solutions.
  • Modify and create JCL scripts and integrate with job scheduling tools (e.g., CA-7, Control-M).
  • Collaborate with DBAs and system architects to optimise performance and ensure data integrity.
  • Conduct unit testing, debugging, and participate in system testing and UAT.
  • Provide production support and resolve application issues.
  • Maintain technical documentation and follow change management processes.
