Description
Experience with performance monitoring tools such as RMF or SMF is a significant plus but not required. Utilize RMF and SMF data for system performance analysis. Identify trends, bottlenecks, and optimization opportunities. Assist in capacity planning and workload forecasting. At least 6+ years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role. Strong Python programming experience in mainframe integration contexts. Proficiency in DB2 and SQL for data manipulation and reporting.- Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, PowerPivot, complex formulas). Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) or Python visualization libraries.- Familiarity with JCL and mainframe batch processing concepts. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with RMF (Resource Measurement Facility) and SMF (System Management Facility). Knowledge of mainframe performance tuning and observability tools. Exposure to REXX or Java on mainframe.- Understanding of capacity planning and workload modeling. Qualifications - bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.- Experience in mainframe environments with Python development.- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
