Overview Tier One Technologies is seeking a Mainframe Support Operator/Administrator to work with our US Government client. This will be a 100% remote Contract-to-Hire position. Must be a US Citizen. SELECTED CANDIDATES WITHOUT REQUIRED CLEARANCE WILL BE SUBJECT TO A FEDERAL GOVERNMENT BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION TO RECEIVE IT. Responsibilities Responsible for supporting a large mainframe payroll application. Operate, monitor, and assist in the maintenance and integrity of the mainframe, peripherals, servers, and network. Participate in Disaster Recovery and provided first level help desk support. Able to adapt to various operational duties in customized data centers. Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network engineers. Perform systems security administration functions. Other duties may include maintaining system documentation, system performance, and installing system wide software. Develop and monitor policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources. Interact with users. Qualifications Prior relevant experience in the IBM mainframe environment. Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills. Must be a US Citizen (no dual citizenship). Ability to obtain DoD Public Trust clearance. Must not have traveled outside the US for a combined total of 6 months or more in the last 5 years. Must have resided in the US for the last 5 years.
