Overview Excavator Operator – Mainline – Fort McMurray Sureway Construction is one of Alberta’s largest heavy construction contractors, involved in; civil earthworks and grading, utilities and offsite, mine operation and aggregate extraction. Ensure trench is excavated to the proper depth/grade. Be aware of proper rigging of pipe, manhole barrels, etc. and ensure safe work procedures are followed during the lowering of materials into the excavation. Operate excavator in close proximity to ground personnel and other equipment. Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture. Mainline Excavator Qualifications: Must have a minimum of four (4) years’ experience as a Mainline Hoe operator. Responsibilities

The operator will work closely with ground personnel to excavate and install pipe according to line and grade specifications, ensuring the trench depth is correct. Responsibilities also include safely rigging and lowering materials like pipe and manhole barrels into the excavation while operating the excavator near personnel and other equipment.
