Description
ESF Hillside International Kindergarten is looking for a Mainscale Teacher from January to June 2026 for maternity cover. The purpose of the Mainscale Teacher is to inspire and nurture young learners by providing a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that fosters cognitive, social, and emotional growth. As an Early Years Teacher in an IB World School, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the foundation of students' educational journeys. Main Accountabilities Teaching and Assessment: Curriculum Implementation: Develop and deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons aligned with the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) curriculum. Foster a love of learning through inquiry-based approaches and hands-on activities Play-Based Learning: Implement a play-based curriculum that promotes exploration, creativity, and problem-solving. Foster a child-centred approach to learning, where children actively participate in their own education Inclusive Education: Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners, including those with special educational needs. Create an inclusive classroom environment that celebrates individual differences and promotes respect for all Assessment and Feedback: Utilize various assessment methods to monitor student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback Wider Professional Roles: Professional Development: Actively participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on educational trends Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to support student learning and well-being Additional Responsibilities (as needed): Contribute to school-wide initiatives and events Supervise extracurricular activities or field trips Assist with administrative tasks Requirements Bachelor Degree in Education (Early Childhood Education), or Bachelor Degree in any subjects with PGCE/PGDE in Early Childhood Education, or equivalent, which qualifies them to teach 3-5 years of age Relevant years of teaching experience within a recognised educational organisation Applicants must be a permanent Hong Kong resident or possess a valid visa to work in Hong Kong.
