We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing the performance of our fleet of trucks and farm equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, with experience maintaining and repairing a fleet of trucks as well as various types of farm equipment.
Primary Tasks and Accountability
- Perform preventive and proactive maintenance on a fleet of trucks, with occasional repairs on farm equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, completing repairs in a timely and effective manner.
- Operate equipment safely, especially during peak periods such as harvest season.
- Ensure all maintenance and repair work is carried out with a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts inventory.
- Work in coordination with farm management to prioritize repair tasks.
- Provide support for grain operations as required.
Requirements
- 5+ years of mechanical experience.
- 310T mechanic certification considered an asset.
- Strong knowledge of gas and diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read technical manuals.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Willingness to work extended hours during peak seasons.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00-$42.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
